“Heart of beauty in everyone”. With the improvement of living standards, people’s requirements for beauty have also increased, and some skin diseases that damage beauty, such as freckles, age spots, post-acne erythema, enlarged pores, red blood and hirsutism, have also been taken seriously. In this regard, the dermatology department of our hospital introduced IPL intensive pulsed light freckle and rejuvenation comprehensive treatment technology to carry out skin beauty.

          1.How can IPL beautify?

Light of a specific wavelength can penetrate deeper tissues of the skin, produce photothermal and photochemical effects, rearrange and regenerate the collagen fibers and elastic fibers of the skin, and restore elasticity, thereby achieving the effect of rejuvenating the skin; the specific wavelength of light acts on the subcutaneous Pigment or blood vessels, break down pigmentation spots, close abnormal red blood, and relieve various blemishes on the skin.

2.What problems does IPL mainly solve?

Remove and improve freckle, superficial telangiectasia (facial redness), acne erythema, rosacea, enlarged pores, superficial wrinkles, skin aging and hirsutism.

3.Time and course of IPL intense pulsed light therapy?

Each treatment time only takes 20-30 minutes, generally 4 times a course of treatment, and the interval between each time is about 1 month. In order to better maintain the effect, it is recommended to switch to maintenance treatment after a course of treatment, and treat once every 3-6 months.

4.Will IPL thin the skin or cause dependence?

The treatment of IPL is that intense pulsed light stimulates the proliferation of collagen fibers and rearrangement of elastic fibers in the skin, improves skin elasticity, makes sagging skin firmer, and reduces pores. It will neither thin the skin nor cause dependence.

          Preparing for your IPL treatment

During your initial assessment, we will answer any questions you may have and determine your IPL candidacy. We may ask you to do the following in preparation for your skin rejuvenation treatment:

Avoid overexposure to the sun and use a high SPF sunscreen when going out

Stop taking certain topical creams that affect skin sensitivity, such as retinoids

Stop smoking after IPL to promote better skin healing

drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and healthy

          How is the IPL performed?

Do not apply any makeup or moisturizer on the day of photorejuvenation. A professional will thoroughly cleanse your face prior to your rejuvenation treatment. Then we protect your eyes with a special laser shield. The energy is then converted into heat, which is what repairs the tissue layers of the skin.

What happens after an IPL finish

You may experience a sunburn-like feeling on the treated area, but this is temporary and should dissipate within a few days, but continue to protect your skin from the sun until all side effects are gone.

Over the next few days, you’ll notice irregularities under your skin surface and peel. This is also a normal and expected part of the process. Don’t be picky about peeling skin to avoid damaging it. The good news is that you should see real improvement after your first session. Dr. Kelishadi recommends a total of 4 to 5 sessions so you can get the best results.
